Difference in to kill a mockingbird books?

The basic story has not changed. The author or estate would not allow that. There may be some extras added to the 2005 version, but not to the actual story so it will not matter which you read. The later version may give you some stories about the book being published, etc. The 1968 version probably was a tie-in for the film.
