What are some good high popluation MMORPG's like WoW but isn't WoW?

im tired of WoW, i still play but only when my friend is on which isnt enough to keep me entertained. im wondering if there are other MMOs with high population that arent just PvP or just PvE based but kinda inbetween, i like to pvp but i mostly like to pve, but i dont want pvp to be non existant.
